More Experts Join IITRI's Microbiology and Immunology Division

Margaret A. Juergensmeyer, Ph.D.: Research Biologist, Microbiology and Immunology Division. Dr. Juergensmeyer currently is undertaking portions of a five-year, multimillion dollar government contract involving recovery of damaged microbes in environmental matrices. She is involved in new studies testing novel disinfectants under EPA guidelines. Dr. Juergensmeyer also is determining the effect of a simulated space station vibration/acceleration environment on the growth of E. coli. She holds a Ph.D. in Biology from Kansas State University.

Evelyn Marie Mobley (Hatch), Ph.D.: Research Biologist, Microbiology and Immunology Division. Dr. Mobley brings technical expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry, nucleic acids, enzymatic analysis, plant molecular biology and plant biochemistry. Previously, she was involved in a project analyzing the function of ribonuclease P (RNase P) in vivo using Bacillus subtilis as a model system. She received a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Chicago.

Moolky Nagabhushan, Ph.D.: Research Biologist, Microbiology and Immunology Division. Dr. Nagabhushan has a broad range of experience in both in vitro and in vivo genetic toxicology bioassays and has evaluated a wide range of drugs, chemicals and natural products for mutagenic and anti-mutagenic activity. He also has extensive experience in performing carcinogenesis bioassays in site-specific animal model systems. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Bombay.
